Room 14; Audience with Colin Bateman :)

To celebrate β€˜All-Ireland Poetry Day’ Rm 14 were lucky enough to attend an audience with Crime writer Colin Bateman. Colin Bateman writes novels for adults and children alike and has even written screenplays for a number of television series and films!! He read from two of his books and allowed us to interview him afterwards. He gave us some great tips for writing our own stories πŸ˜€

  1. What a fun, interesting, enthusiastic author. I really hope that one day his dream of becoming a world famous footballer comes true. He was a totally funny man. Every single thing he did was so funny. I so wish that i caught one of the t-shirts that he was throwing out to us. They looked so cool.I totally agree with Delphi we should really read one of his storys as a class novel, that would be so cool. Thank you Mr.Mooney for taking us. He gave us very useful tips for writing a story. His storys were super funny. I think that everyone really really enjoyed themselves. Megan was so lucky to get one of his books but to get it signed too, wow it must have really been her lucky day. Thank you sooooooo much Mr.Mooney for planning the trip it was great fun. You are certainly the coolest teacher in the whole school(no fence.) I really do not know which was more fun making a human tree( for the record was totally awesome) or seeing COLIN BATEMAN in person. BEST DAY EVER!Thanks again.
