Halloween dress up day 2018

The pupils were dressed up in all kinds of costumes on the day of the mid term.

Everyone looked great.

We even had another Ms. Hanrahan!!

Future hurling stars in 2nd class!

After training for weeks with Mr. Whelan, the hurlers from 2nd class invited their parents into school to see a match.

Carving pumpkins in Room 12

The boys and girls in Room 12 were busy this week preparing for Halloween by cleaning out and carving pumpkins.

Maths fair in Room 12

The pupils in Room 12 went to the maths fair this week.

They learned all about weight, length, shape and measure from the pupils in Room 5. Well done everyone!

Persuasive posters in Room 15

Th pupils in Room 15 became advertisement executives and they were trying to invent and advertise a new toy.

They worked together in groups. Some pupils were the inventors, some designers and some worked on their presentation skills and a jingle for their product.

They then presented their finished product to the class.

Take On The Teachers 2018

There was so much excitement in the school for the annual Take On The Teacher Challenge. On this day the pupils and teachers go head to head in lots of different active challenges.

We competed in basketball, soccer, strength tests, skipping, accuracy throwing tasks, hoola hooping, bowling, sprints and dodgeball.

We kept a tally of all of the points scored.

It was a super day! Well done everyone!

Dancing Skeletons in Room 11

Picasso witches in Room 15

The Artist of the Month for October in Room 15 is Pablo Picasso. We were learning all about him and his paintings.

We then created witches and took inspiration from Picasso’s cubism era.

They look great!

St. Louis Swim Team Leinster Gala

The girls on the St. Louis Swim Team took part in the Leinster gala in the National Aquatic Centre at the weekend.

The 4th and 6th class girls swam so well and represented the school brilliantly. They even came away with some Leinster medals. They qualifies for the national Irish championships in February 10th. Best of luck to the St. Louis Swim team!
