St. Vincent De Paul Food appeal 2018

The boys and girls in St. Louis were very generous this year and donated a massive 70 boxes of non-perishable food to families in our community.

It is great to know that there are generous pupils, parents and teachers in St. Louis.

We hope it makes a big difference this Christmas.

Learning about gender stereotyping

Room 11 were learning about gender stereotyping, and RTE News2Day came into our class to find out what we thought! Gender stereotyping is when some people think that certain characteristics or jobs belong only to boys or girls. We loved learning about how the filming, editing and producing happens.

Have a watch to see what we think!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

#GAGA

Dublin City Sport and Wellbeing Partnership invited St. Louis SPS to go #GAGA on December 5th

What is it?

As you may be aware, participation rates for girls in sport are much lower than boys. The aim is to promote and engage more girls in physical activity. We tried to kick start this by delivering a campaign called GAGA- Get All Girls Active!

All of the girls took to the yard to take part in different activities with Mr. Whelan.

It was so great so lets continue to go GAGA girls!!!

Science Week in Room 9

Room 9 were very busy for Science Week! We hosted a Science Fair for 4th, 5th & 6th classes showing them some very interesting experiments. We also had a visit from Rachel’s mum, Emma who is a professor in Science in Trinity College! We learned about the eye and experimented with some dry ice too – it was really good fun!
