The boys and girls from Room 1 were so lucky to get to visit Google this week, thanks to Chloe!
We walked to Barrow Street down the Canal and were met by Marta and Katie there. They showed us all around the Google offices and buildings.
We were amazed at all the cool stuff there. The views of Dublin were great too!

Room 1 were learning all about Chinese New Year. We made paper dragons.
This year is the Year of the Rat!
Room 13 have been learning about rocks and volcanoes. We made a volcano in class using water, vinegar, bicarbonate soda, washing up liquid and food colouring. This chemical reaction showed us what it’s like when volcanoes erupt and spew molten rock.
Room 13 were delighted to have Ms Neill show us the proper technique for high jump. We worked out which side we jumped on and then practiced the correct technique. Thanks Ms Neill (and Eric!)
The boys and girls in Room 1 are learning all about Ancient Egypt. They created headpieces and neck pieces that pharaohs would have worn in Ancient Egypt times.
They look great!
We were lucky enough to be treated to a concert from the Garda Band this week. They were coming to help us celebrate the 80th birthday of St. Louis.
we learned all about the different instruments used in the band and listened to songs.
We sang along and some pupils even became conductors.
It was great fun!
The boys and girls were busy learning all about Ancient Egypt in Room 1. They learned all about the art that was drawn in Ancient Egypt times and got to become a part of their own art.
The pupils became Egyptian pharaohs and decorated their crowns and neck pieces.
They look great!
Room 9 have been busy learning about WWI in History and about trench warfare. We then took our knowledge of the trenches fro History and used it to make 3D models for an Art project! Check out some of the great dioramas we created!
