Room 3 – maths week activities
During maths week 2013 we made some shapes with tangrams.
We also did a maths trail in the Millennium Playground.

Maths is all around us. This week we are celebrating maths week.

Hallowe’en Legends
Second classes came together to hear the legend of ‘The Witch With The Long Black Hand’.
We had great fun listening to Mr. Birmingham tell this scary Hallowe’en story.
Room 15 – Autumn Art
Room 15 were very busy creating brilliant pieces of Autumn art.
Room 15 – tag rugby experts!
Room 15 have started tag rugby on Tuesdays. It is so much fun and we have already learned so many rugby skills.
We are also learning about how to be a good team player.
Room 15 – learning about history
Room 15 have been learning about schools long ago. We have discovered lots of interesting pieces of information about St. Louis and also schools from other parts of Ireland.
Bernie kindly told us all about her days in primary school. We really enjoyed listening to her.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin visits St. Louis!
We were very lucky in St. Louis SPS that the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Oisín Quinn, visited our school. Lots of pupils and teachers got to meet him and ask him some interesting questions.
He talked to us about the 2030 project and what Dublin would be like in 2030.
He also raised out 5th Green Flag. It was a great day!!
GOAL Jersey Day 2013
On October 11th, the boys and girls in St. Louis wore in a jersey and brought in €2 to support the charity GOAL.
Everybody had great fun and the school raised €591 for the charity.
Well done everybody!
