Room 4 – Maths week activities

As part of Maths week, Room 4 went on a Maths trail to discover lines and angles in the school environment. It was lots of fun to do Maths outside the classroom!
On Friday during Maths Week, we did a really fun Maths trail. We had to go to the yard, Millennium and corridor. We had to find right, obtuse, reflex and acute angles. It was really fun.

Room 4 – sceintists

Room 4 were investigating how water travels through plants. We put a celery stick in water with red food colouring in it. In this way we could see how the water travelled through the celery stalk when we checked it again in a couple of days. Check out the results!
The experiment was great fun. It was really interesting opening up the celery and seeing the water inside it.
Daniel, Room 4
We each got a stick of celery, a jar of water and food colouring. We mixed them altogether in the jar and left them. Two days later, we checked them. The tips of our celery had gone red. it was a fun experiment.
