As part of Maths week, Room 4 went on a Maths trail to discover lines and angles in the school environment. It was lots of fun to do Maths outside the classroom!
On Friday during Maths Week, we did a really fun Maths trail. We had to go to the yard, Millennium and corridor. We had to find right, obtuse, reflex and acute angles. It was really fun.

On Friday we did a Maths trail for Maths week. It was really fun. We had to find lots of different lines and angles. Some of it was tricky like finding the reflex angles but it was really fun.

Room 4 were investigating how water travels through plants. We put a celery stick in water with red food colouring in it. In this way we could see how the water travelled through the celery stalk when we checked it again in a couple of days. Check out the results!
The experiment was great fun. It was really interesting opening up the celery and seeing the water inside it.
Daniel, Room 4
We each got a stick of celery, a jar of water and food colouring. We mixed them altogether in the jar and left them. Two days later, we checked them. The tips of our celery had gone red. it was a fun experiment.

Room 1 created these beautiful autumn trees.
We used paint and sponges to create a leaf effect.
They look great!
The boys and girls in room 15 were busy scooping out the inside of a pumpkin to help create our carved pumpkin.

Room 2 went on a trail to celebrate maths week.
We had lots of fun looking at maths in our environment.
Great fun was had by Room 6 at their first tag rugby session!
The children in Room 6 have been busy developing their mouse skills and evaluating internet based games in the computer room.

As part of maths week activities, the children in Room 6 completed a traffic survey in Rathmines.
To celebrate tree day, the children in 2nd class explored a horse chestnut tree on Leinster Road.
They enjoyed drawing the tree.
