The boys and girls in room 6 have been busy researching India. They are learning lots of interesting facts.

Ceolchoirm – Seachtain na Gaeilge 2016
All of the pupils gathered in Halla Cullen to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge.
All of the pupils have been working very hard with learning and using new Gaeilge phrases. It has been great to her them around the school.
Each class prepared a piece to perform ‘as Gaeilge’ in Halla Cullen.
We heard poems and songs and we saw lovely dances.
6th class also told us a story and poem about Irish history.
It was a really super day! Well done to everybody involved!

Learning about 1916 in Room 1
The boys and girls in Room 1 created these beautiful posters after learning about what life was like in Ireland 100 years ago. We discovered lots of
interesting facts about the Irish flag also. Did you know Thomas Francis Meagher was the first man to fly the Irish flag in Waterford in
1848!
