Room 8 – Nature walk – Living things

On Thursday Room 8 went on a nature walk. We went to Harold’s Cross Park and we were on a mission. We were on an Autumn Hunt! We searched for leaves changing colour, conkers, berries and lots lots more. It was great fun! We even had time for a quick play in the playground!

Mini-beasts hunt in Room 15 – Living things

Room 15 were hunting some mini beasts in the Millennium playground.

We were studying what we found and placing all of the information in our copy.

We found some really interesting mini-beasts.

Room 14 – Minibeast hunt! – Living things

Room 14 conducted a minibeast hunt in the Millennium Playground last week. We looked at the different habitats in the school environment and using pooters and magnifying glasses, we were then able to examine and classify the various minibeasts that we found. We never knew that so many different creatures lived in our school environment! We found worms, beetles, flies, daddy-long-legs and earwigs to name a few! It was loads of fun. We then wrote up our results back in the classroom.

Room 15 – learning about sound – Energy and Forces

The boys and girls in Room 15 were learning all about sound and how it travels. They were learning about measuring sound and decibels.

They made really super string telephones and were able to communicate with each other down the string telephones using vibrations through the string. The sound that was created by the string was then amplified through the cups at either end.

They could pass messages to each other clearly!

It was great fun.
