Celebrating Chinese New Year in Room 5

We learned all about the lantern festival in China and made our own lanterns to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Co-operative group work in Room 5

We were learning all about co-operating and working in a group this week. We learned what it takes to be a good member of a group.

We worked together to present information reports to the class. It was really great!

Learning about France with Room 1

Room 1 have been learning lots about France. We learned about the country, the landmarks, some of France’s important history and famous French events such as Tour de France. We learned about famous French people such as fashion designers, inventors and artists. As part of our research we also got to sample some French foods! We presented our projects to Ms Biesty who was very impressed!

Learning about Daniel O’ Connell in Room 8

Room 8 are learning all about ‘The Liberator’, Daniel O’ Connell. We wrote speeches to imagine what he might have said during monster meetings and created silhouettes of him on tea-stained backgrounds.

Learning about France in Room 1

Room 1 are busing learning about France. We combined a French artist (Georges Seurat’s pointillism) with a French monument to create these beautiful Eiffel Tower art pieces.

We were working hard learning about World War 1. We completed projects and artwork.

Science fun in Room 7

Message – Room 7 have been very busy learning about electricity and making electrical circuits, putty and slime. We have launched rockets, made skittle rainbows and lava lamps. We have  erupted a volcano and created a tornado . We have grown crystals, inflated a balloon, balanced eggs, made fake snow and an electric magnet.

Native American Projects in Room 8

Room 8 are finished creating their Native American projects. We thoroughly enjoyed the process and are so proud of the product. We worked hard on them for almost month and had great fun presenting them on Friday last. Check them out on display outside of our classroom!
