Our Active Week is coming up soon (10th – 14th June 2019) so here is the Active School dance video for you to practice at home to get ready for our whole school dance!
On Thursday 9th of May the pupils in Room 3 and Ms. Eaton organised a fundraiser to raise money for the Sickle Cell department of Crumlin Children’s Hospital. In St. Louis last year we sadly lost the lovely Eve Malone and this fundraiser was put together to remember her and raise money too.
There was plenty of sweet treats to buy as well as a book sale, nail painting, torot reading, raffle, hair styling, tattoos, guess the baby teachers as well as the opportunity to sit in a real Porche sports car.
It was a great day and well done to all the pupils and volunteers who made the day so successful and exciting for everyone.
We were all treated again to some wonderful performances on Thursday.
It was brilliant to see so much talent in the school and we even got to hear from the No. 1 school orchestra in the country!
Well done to all the performers!
We were all treated to some amazing performances at the Platform Concert on Wednesday.
We saw dancers, singers, musicians and our senior school choir.
A superb night-well done to all!
Well done to all of the boys and girls that completed their PAWS water safety training and received their certificates this year.
The whole school learned all about water safety.
Here are some pictures of some of the pupils in the school that got their certificates.
This year to celebrate St. Partick’s Day we all wore green and got fit at the same time.
We ran together to some Irish music. It was a great way to stay fit!
The St. Louis Junior Hurling Team has been up and running for a number of weeks now and we have been super impressed by their progress. Our first match of the year is on Tuesday April 2nd in Kevin’s GAA grounds at 3pm where we take on St. Catherine’s in a local derby!
All of the pupils came together to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge with an assembly in Halla Cullen.
We sang songs, heard about SAt. Partick, heard some wonderful traditional Irish music played by pupils and saw some Irish dancing!
As we prepare for Easter this Lent we are trying to Make a Difference in St. Louis. We are Celebrating Kindness by recording some of the kind things people do for us and giving ourselves a pat on the back by recording some of the kind things we do for others too. We are also making more of an effort to notice the things in our lives that make us happy; the things we a re grateful for. We’re recording these on our Sacred Space too.
Some people are trying to give up sweets, technology, meat, palm oil or some bad habits this Lent. Others are taking up new routines by spending more time playing outside, with their family, doing the things they love to do and practicing their skills and talents.
