We were learning about narrative writing in Room 15 and decided to write fractured fairy tales for our friends in 2nd class.
It was great fun to come up with the ideas and to write our stories but we really enjoyed sharing them with our friends in 2nd class.
All four second classes have been talking turns hosting X-factor. It’s been great fun watching all the talent in second class!
Last Tuesday, second class went to Pine Forest up in the mountains. It was pouring rain but that didn’t stop us having lots of fun! We did lots of things including making a fish tea light holder out of clay and a monster bookmark.
Room 12 made ‘Chocolate Mug Cakes’ as part of an oral language class! We had lots of fun working in pairs to follow a recipe and eating our tasty treats.
Room 12 held their own talent show.
The acts were incredible!
Room 11 + room 12 were lucky enough to have Mr Bermingham tell us a story about Jack and his three wishes. He was very funny and we enjoyed it so much! Thanks Mr Bermingham!
Check out this lovely Mother’s Day art from Room 12!
Room 12 were very lucky to be invited to a Fighting Words workshop. This workshop was set up by the author Roddy Doyle. Everyone wrote a story together and created characters. Illustrators, editors and publishers were on hand to help. It was a fantastic day!
