Electric workers in Room 15

Room 15 were learning all about electricity and circuits.

We learned about static and current electricity. We made simple circuits using wires, batteries and bulbs. 🙂

We learned all about Morse code and sent some coded messages to our friends!

 

GAA skills in Room 15

De Le Salle pupils came into school to help with out GAA skills this week. We learned all about hand passing this week in Room 15.

Long jump in Room 15

Orienteering in St. Louis

Room 15 were doing orienteering in P.E.

Orienteering is using a map to find clues. They used a map of the yards to find where the clues were and as a group they had to complete their task sheet.

It was great fun!

Seachtain na Gaeilge seó faisean!

Room 15 were practicing their Gaeilge as well as their model poses.

Lots of classes came to our fashion show!

Artist of the Month in Room 15

Every month in Room 15 we learn about a different artist.

In February we learned about Dutch artist Piet Mondrian.

He was most famous for using primary colours and geometric shapes.

The pupils in Room 15 were inspired by Mondrian and they created their own pieces of geometric art.

Well done!

IRFU Open Training Session 2019

The Ireland senior rugby team and the under 20’s Ireland rugby team held an open training session in the Aviva Stadium today.

Room 15 went along to see them train and meet the players. Some people even got an autograph and a prize!!

It was a great day!

Getting ready for the Chinese New Year in Room 15

The pupils in Room 15 were learning all about Chinese New Year which is celebrated this year on Tuesday 5th February 2019. This year the Chinese are celebrating the year of the PIG.

We made Chinese paper lanterns and decorated them with the Chinese symbol for the word PIG.
